You are able to update your officer's (Director and PSC - People with Significant Control) service address via your online company portal, free of charge.
Simple Tip: You may also be using our address as your Registered Office address. If you no longer wanted to use our address anywhere, you may want to update the Registered Office addresss also.
Steps to change the Service Address:
- Go to My Companies (login to Companies MadeSimple required) and click on your company name.
- Scroll down to Directors, PSCs or Secretaries and click Edit.
- Click inside the Change checkbox so you can enter the new address.
- Click Save.
Your request is now submitted to Companies House awaiting approval, which normally takes up to 3 working hours. You will see the old service address until it is accepted. If for any reason the request is rejected, we can let you know why and how to resolve it.
- Next, you will need to update HMRC with the new address so they can log it on their systems and send correspondence to the correct address.
Please Note: It can take up to 24 hours for the new address to appear on the Companies House register. If you need to update a shareholder's service address, this will need to be completed via a Confirmation Statement as it cannot be updated from your account.
