What is a Personal Code?
Your Companies House Personal Code is an 11-character code issued after you successfully verify your identity with Companies House.
The Personal Code is used to link your verified identity to your company roles, such as being a director or Person with Significant Control (PSC).
You should keep your Personal Code safe, as you may need to provide it when completing certain filings or when someone is filing on your behalf.
Your Personal Code is different from your company's authentication code.
How do I get my Personal Code?
To receive a Personal Code, you first need to complete your identity verification.
You can verify your identity in one of two ways:
Option 1: Verify directly with Companies House
You can verify your identity directly through Companies House using GOV.UK One Login.
Option 2: Verify through an Authorised Corporate Service Provider (ACSP)
You can also complete your identity verification through an Authorised Corporate Service Provider (ACSP), such as Made Simple Group.
Verify your identity with Made Simple Group
Once your identity has been successfully verified, we submit the required information to Companies House to issue your Personal Code.

I used the wrong email address
If you believe the wrong email address was provided during your identity verification, the next steps depend on how you completed your verification.

What do I do with my Personal Code?
