You are reading our plain English summary which attempts to briefly explain, in human-readable terms, what data we collect from you, how we use it, who has access and where & how it's stored. This summary is not legally binding but you can view our full Privacy Policy to read the wording we'd apply legally.
The personal information we collect about you will vary depending on how you interact with us. Below is a summary of what we collect and why:
Your account details
When you create an account with us or make a purchase your account contact details are held in our database. This is only accessible to you, the customer, and our customer service staff as necessary to support user queries and communicate with you, send any necessary post to your address (as required by what you purchased) and allow us to manage your account and support your service/product.
Your identification documents
We employ a dedicated global specialist company in identity data (Credas) to store most of your identification documents. Their privacy policy is available here.
We have a legal obligation to check proof of ID and Proof of Address for all customers who form companies through us. This is to ensure we comply with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations and Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements.
Your company details
All of your company data including your company address, director, shareholders and PSC details are held securely in our database. This information is only accessible to you, the customer, with limited access by our customer service staff as necessary to support your queries. This information is required by us in order to provide the service you purchased, such as company formations.
Your details shared with our partners
If, and only if, you explicitly opt in to an offer provided by one of our partners, we will share your contact and company details with the partner. These details are only sent at your request. We will always detail what will be sent and why before sharing the details with the partner. For example, if you wanted to take advantage of our free bank account offer when forming a limited company, we will share your contact details with one of our partners such as Barclays so they may contact you about opening the account.
