The principal purpose of this address is to be able to be contacted by official Government bodies for statutory purposes at this address. The main sources of these letters will be from Companies House and HMRC. Legal notices MUST be securely delivered to the address listed as your Registered Office.
The Limited company must also keep their stautory registers at this address, available for public inspection should it be requested. You can however register an alternate address for inspection purposes also known as a SAIL address (Single Alternative Inspection Location).
A Registered Office address must be based within the UK; you can however trade from elsewhere in the world. The initial location of your Registered Office is very important as this will be the country that your company is registered in. A Registered Office address must remain in the same UK country/jurisdiction where the company was registered (e.g. England and Wales, Scotland, or Northern Ireland, please see this article for more information).
For your trading address, you can use the same address as your registered office, however, you must work from the address - meaning you conduct your business activities there. For this reason, you cannot claim or use our address as a trading address.
Need to incorporate a new business, we have this service included in the majority of our packages!
