Why has an additional charge been added to my company formation? (Companies House February 2026 Update)

All of our company formation packages include the Companies House incorporation fee.
However, Companies House has increased several of its statutory fees:

Incorporation Fee:
From February 1st 2026, the Companies House incorporation fee will increase from £50 to £100.

Confirmation Statement Fee:
From February 1st 2026, the Companies House fee for filing a Confirmation Statement increased from £34 to £50.

If you purchased a formation package that included the old Companies House fees, but your incorporation was submitted after 5:00pm (BST) on 31st January 2026, an additional charge may apply. This reflects the higher fees now charged by Companies House and is passed on at cost.

In short, the extra charge is not a new fee from us; it is due solely to the official Companies House fee increases that apply based on the date your documents were submitted.
